What you will need

  • seeds (from health-food stores)
  • a preserving jar
  • a piece of muslin

Rinse the seeds, drain and cover with water. Soak overnight, then drain.

Transfer to jar and cover with muslin, secured with a rubber band. Lie the jar on its side, place on a windowsill and rinse and drain twice a day.

In six to eight days you’ll have fresh, crunchy sprouts. Store mature sprouts in the fridge.
