A great way to use an abundance of fresh rosemary from the garden.

Use homemade rosemary oil in cooking, salad dressings or as an accompaniment to drizzle over bread. Add a few drops to a hot bath or use as massage oil.

A bottle of homemade rosemary oil also makes a lovely gift.

You will need:

  • Olive oil
  • Fresh rosemary
  • Lidded glass jars and bottles

Trim rosemary stems to fit into jars. Wash rosemary with water and allow to completely dry. Place a handful of rosemary branches in each jar. Fill jars with oil to cover rosemary. Seal jars and store in a cool dark place for a month. Strain the rosemary infused oil, discarding rosemary stems into clean bottles and seal. Use within 3 months.
