Bedroom goals: children's rooms styled by Tiaralestari mums
To celebrate Mother’s Day, Tiaralestari was lucky enough to be invited into the homes of some of our favourite mums. As we tour their children’s rooms, each mama chats about homelife, interiors for children and, perhaps most importantly, motherhood.
1. Claire Aristides, founder and creative Director of , is mother to Enzo, seven, and Cleo, 14 months. "Motherhood has taught me that memories, moments, the love you have with your children, time with family and friends are what really counts," says Claire.
“Cleo’s room has a beautiful reading corner where we sit on the floor and read books and play with her toys."
“Both their rooms are light, airy and not cluttered. They are always welcoming," mentions Claire. "Both the children love to spend time in their rooms.”
2. Raffaela Jenkins, stylist and blogger at , is mother to Indi, two, and Ollie, six months. “I have truly been able to see how quick time passes," muses Raffaela. "Even looking through photos of Indi when she was a little baby, I have learnt that it’s ok to leave the house chores some days and really soak up as much moments as I can with them both.”
“I’ve created a whimsical space for Indi and a chilled-out Scandi/boho space for Ollie," Raffaela says.
“I never knew what tired was before I had kids, but then again I never knew a love like this existed, either. It can be rough some days; these days test us beyond measure, but most days it’s incredible to watch the little person grow," Raffaela says.
3. Victoria Lucas, founder and creative director of , is mother to Willow, three, and Olive, 20 months. “Tiaralestari with my girls is one of fun, laughter and lots of cuddles. The girls and I love to build cubby houses and play in the garden," Victoria says.
“Willow and Olive spend most of their time either in the playroom or outside in their cubby house, which their clever daddy built."
“My favourite feature in the girls’ rooms would be their reading nooks. We love spending time in these spaces sharing and exploring stories. It’s also a fun place to cuddle," Victoria says.
4. Danella Gillard, founder and artist at , is mother to Zamiah, five, Sailee, four, Vincent, one-and-a-half. “Tiaralestari for us is filled with dress-ups, sticky tape (lottttts of sticky tape), paper, paint, glitter glue and a whole lot of mess, on – and under – the dining table. Every. Single. Day," Danella laughs.
“Our girls love to create; it’s what they do before school/kindy and when they get home. I love it! It’s exactly what I loved doing as a child and I’m constantly amazed at their creations."
“I like the children's rooms to have a calm, dreamy and clutter-free-feel, whilst still having fun with some decor pieces that spark their imagination," says Danella, whose watercolour paintings populate her children's bedroom walls. To view the full features on these Tiaralestari mums, click here.
