When weeds are in active growth they respond rapidly to herbicides that are sprayed on them.

Avoid lawn herbicides with dicamba, as this chemical can damage nearby trees and shrubs. Also, avoid walking on sprayed areas as you can spread the chemical on your shoes, and never apply any sprays on a windy day.

Partially fill a sprayer with water. Add wetting agent and herbicide, following the instructions.

Pressurise the sprayer by pumping the handle several times before you begin spraying.

To spray, start at the side of the weed then pass the sprayer over it in an arc. Repeat.
