The contemporary extension of this Hobart home includes a large bathroom, but rather than opt for a modern look, the owners have beautifully combined both old and new fittings, such as the claw-foot bath purchased from an antique dealer and ‘Geo Viva’ tapware from Accent International. A pale concrete floor (achieved by grinding and polishing white concrete back to reveal the pale aggregate) provides the minimal foundation for the older items.
