What you will need
- Melt-and-pour soap base
- Fragrance oil
- Dried flower petals
- Knife and spoon
- Microwave-safe ceramic jug
- Vintage jelly moulds or patty pans
Cut the melt-and-pour soap base into small pieces to assist the melting process. Place the pieces in a ceramic jug and microwave for 15 seconds. Stir and repeat until the soap base is completely melted. Take care not to overheat the soap base, as this will cause discolouration.
Add fragrance oil to the melted soap base, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Pour the soap base into the moulds, filling them only halfway. Leave to set.
Sprinkle dried flower petals over the soap base and top up the mould with more melted soap base. Sprinkle more dried flower petals on top of the soap, and leave it to set completely.
Once set, place the moulds in the freezer for 20 minutes to make removal of the soap easier.
