- Cutting mat
- Paper glue
- Craft supplies
- Foam core board
- Removable glue dots
Find images of flying birds that have strong silhouettes. Make templates by tracing the images onto tracing paper or cutting out photocopies of the images.
Trace the templates onto paper or card and carefully cut out the bird silhouettes using paper scissors or a craft knife and cutting mat.
For three-dimensional effects, lightly score a fold at the base of the wings; or glue a small piece of foam core board to the back of some of the silhouettes.
Apply a removable glue dot to the back of each bird silhouette and fasten it to the wall.
Tip Roughly plan the arrangement of the silhouettes on a table or the floor before you fasten them to the wall. Removable glue dots are available at office supply stores and won’t leave a sticky mess if you change your mind or decide to take down the arrangement later.
