Brockley Estate

This 1840s homestead has been elegantly restored as boutique accommodation. Close to Hobart, it is on the road to Freycinet and Maria Island and the attractions of Tasmania’s east coast.

The estate is set on 4000 hectares of working sheep and cattle farm, with trees shading the grounds and hedges running down to the Prosser River. Guests can enjoy Spanish cuisine cooked by chef and co-owner Chaxiraxi Afonso Higuera.

Trace the convict-built stagecoach road that runs through the property, go birdwatching, wildlife spotting, or observe farming activities.

Join one of the Red Feather’s cooking classes and learn how to bake classic farmhouse bread, smoke and cure meat and fish, make cheese or a soufflé, or prepare game.
