Celebrated Sports Illustrated supermodel Christie Brinkley has put her Hamptons family estate on the market for $29.5million. Named Tower Hill after its century-old observation tower, the 20-hectare property is now far too large for empty nester Brinkley, whose three daughters were raised here.
Tower Hill is sited on more than 20 private open and wooded acres in Bridgehampton. From the observatory, one can see the Atlantic Ocean, the south shore of Connecticut, Gardiner's Island and the North Fork Peninsula.
The three-storey traditional main house has six bedrooms and five and a half baths, with an additional guest house and artist's studio on the property.
Christie's eclectic taste has characterised the house interiors to be bright, colourful and lavish.
Over 11,000 square feet of living space is home to Christie's diverse collection of curios, books and art.
The house features four fireplaces, as well as a gym, office, multiple stone terraces and a four-car heated garage.
Grounds with rolling lawns, flower and organic vegetable gardens and walking trails also include a tennis court, pond and heated swimming pool.
After paying $3.2million for the property in 1998 and carefully restoring it with her then-husband, architect Peter Cook, Tower Hill has been Christie's family home for 15 years. Enzo Morabito of Douglas Elliman .
